Delete your HIT account

You can delete your HIT account and its personal data at any time. Choose one of the three ways below.

1. In the app (fastest)

1. Open HIT and go to Profile.
2. Under Account, tap Delete account permanently.
3. Type DELETE, enter your password if asked, and confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out on every device.

2. On the web

Open https://malaab-myil.vercel.app in any browser, sign in, then go to Profile, Account, Delete account permanently.

3. By email (if you cannot sign in)

Email support@hitcourts.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my HIT account". If you no longer use that address, write from another address and include the mobile number on your account. We will check that the account is yours, for example by sending a code to your email address or mobile number. We confirm your request within 7 days, complete the deletion within 30 days and email you when it is done.

Before you delete

• No password on your account? Use "Forgot password" in the app first, or email us.
• Deleting your account does not cancel upcoming bookings. Cancel the ones you no longer need first; the refund rules in our Terms apply.
• Unused rewards and points are lost and cannot be recovered.
• Venue and business owner accounts cannot be deleted in the app. Email us and we will close the business account with you.
• Want to delete only some of your data, such as a review, without deleting your account? Email us.

What we delete

• your name, date of birth, email address, mobile number, username and password;
• your notification settings and push notification tokens;
• your favourite venues and your "Notify me" alerts;
• the players you blocked;
• the IP addresses and device details stored with your sign-ins;
• the text of your reviews, of any dispute you raised and of your court reports that have been decided;
• the link between your account and our usage records.

Your rewards account is closed and unused points are forfeited.

What we keep, and for how long

• Booking, payment, refund, rewards and invoice records, under the name "Deleted User", for 5 years from the end of the financial year of the booking, because UAE commercial and tax law requires it.
• Star ratings you gave, without your name or comment, as part of each venue's rating.
• Dispute records, without your description, for the same period as booking records.
• Court-not-ready reports you filed: the photos and videos are kept for 90 days after deletion, so that a refund or venue dispute can still be settled, and are then deleted. The text of a report that is still being decided stays with the booking record.
• Reports you made about reviews or advertisements, without your name.
• Names you typed on a shared payment link, with that payment record.
• A one-way fingerprint of your email address, which cannot be turned back into your address. It stops the address from being used to open a new account without contacting us, which prevents abuse of welcome offers and of account bans. We release it when you ask.
• Crash reports linked to your account ID are deleted within 90 days.
• Encrypted backups are kept for a limited time and replaced on a rolling basis. We do not restore deleted accounts from them.
